Happy Birthday, Kara. I got in touch with Melanie today for the first time in a while, and she wrote back saying how I was on her mind this morning and what a cosmic connection we must still have even after not seeing each other for 5 years. I said that we owed it all to you. Thanks for helping us continue a friendship the 3 of us shared. Days like your birthday — or in January — those are the easy days to miss you because I feel “allowed” to. It’s understood why I’m in a funky mood. It’s tomorrow and the next day when I hear “Walkin’ on Sunshine” or think of the UAC that are harder. You will never be forgotten since you are still playing such a role in my life. Thank you.
