Always in my Heart

It is amazing to me that I can cry and laugh at the same time when I think of you, Kara. As we approach your birthday, I realized that it is very close to Peter’s (his is the 10th). It’s hard for me to explain to you how I am feeling about this being his first birthday away from me, but in Heaven with you. Again, joy and sadness at the same time. My flesh wants him here with me, but my spirit is rejoicing because I know how much fun you are at parties! I really missed you at our 10-year reunion over Thanksgiving. Seeing pictures of your precious smile brought back so much joy….and sadness. I try very hard to let that joy overcome my tears, it doesn’t always work though. So I will continue to give thanks to God in all things. You have been such a blessing to so many, myself included. I thank God that he graced this world with your love and incredible heart. I thank God for keeping my memory strong, so I never forget the awesome times we shared. And I thank God for the abundance of emotion I feel when I think of you, both the joy and the tears.
