Whenever we were going to have some good family time together, Kara would say something like, “This day is all about FAMily”. To say it like she did you have to really emphasize the “Fam” syllable, and spread your hands out to the side with a smile on your face. Not that everyday growing up with Kara left a smile on my face, but I have so many wonderful memories of family times with Kara… summers on the lake, roadtrips to Myrtle Beach, Thanksgivings on Nunda Blvd., hiking the gully at Keuka, that once I start thinking back I easily get overwhelmed. Kara was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin to many, and most recently an aunt. Despite the hair pulling, name calling, and clothes stealing, we were an incredibly close family growing up, which makes our loss that much more painful. We loved Kara deeply, we love her still, and I can say without a doubt that she continues to love us.
So come in and browse these stories, add a couple of your own, and celebrate FAMily.
