Whenever I hear an acoustic guitar, I am at peace. There is something about it that is very soothing and comforting. I have had many friends that played the guitar, and have been envious of each of them… but none stick in my mind as much as you, Kara. I have many memories of you and your guitar. I have written here once before of when your guitar was broken at camp, how you were very sad, but you were the eternal optimist. But, tonight, as I was cleaning my room, and listening to a really incredible guitar player, John Denver, I heard a song I haven’t heard in quite some time. “This Old Guitar”. As I was listening to the words, and organizing the endless piles of stuff in my room, I also came across a picture of you. As I sat there I had a very vivid image of you at camp strumming away for our kids in Cabin Lourdes. You might know the words to this song, but I want to share them with you now.
