Today is Palm Sunday and your 28th birthday. I woke up today wishing you were here, close to me. I wanted to celebrate your birthday with you. Then I went to mass and heard the priest read, “Behold, your king comes to you, meek and riding on an ass.” A huge smile broke out on my face as I realized you were with me today, celebrating your birthday. Even at 28 I know you would still be laughing at the word “ass” in the Bible. You always seem to know just when to put a smile on my face and light up my life. Happy Birthday Kara. I love you.
